The Convention and Visitors Bureau of Greater Portland, in conjunction with the South Coast–Maine Beaches Association, Maine’s Mid-Coast and Maine’s Lakes and Mountains regions will host a front line orientation program on May 30, 2007 at the International Marine Terminal in Portland.

This fun, free and informational event is open to all front line employees and volunteers from CVB member businesses in the Greater Portland Region. Attendees will include accommodation front desk staff, concierges, restaurant hosts, retailers, tour operators, museum docents,  train hosts and Visitor Information Center Staff and Volunteers who regularly provide visitor services to travelers.

The daylong program* will include a free continental breakfast, informational tabletop displays, a customer service-training program, and local and statewide presentations on “What’s New”  and “The Top 10 Things Every Visitor Wants to Know.”

The event is designed to bring front line employees and volunteers from across the tourism and hospitality industries together to experience what the Greater Portland Region has to offer and to cross-promote day trips and expanded travel information to visitors going to neighboring tourism regions.
