Hi-- I met Wayne at the Assoc for Public Transportation / Mass Assoc of Railroad Passengers Annual Meeting this past June in Boston. GREAT Guy. APT-MARP web site, though pretty out dated at the moment, is a must for rail advocates in the area. It's www.aptmarp.org.
An additional comment about the Downeaster: I'd love to see it stop in Lawrence MA from time to time. The McGovern RTC is far better than the Haverhill MBTA Station, just seconds from I495, offering inexpensive covered overnight parking, high platform access for the length of the consist and sharing the facility with the Lawrence Police Department and even a coffee shop / lunch counter. As the premier advocacy group, most responsible for the Downeaster's existence, I know your word would be heard. I have no financial interest in the addition of a stop in Lawrence.
