'Julie' Knows Where Your Train Is PDF Print E-mail

"Where is that train, anyway? It was supposed to be here by now."

How many times have we heard ourselves or others voice such frustration? If an Amtrak train is within 10 minutes of its scheduled time, it is considered 'on time'. Still, we'd like to know the train's estimated time of arrival at our station - no sense standing out in the rain, sleet, snow or wind.

Call 'Julie' at 1-800-USA-RAIL. This automated Amtrak service is nearly always accurate. It's the next best thing to talking directly to the conductor, which as we all know, is not allowed.

Thanks, 'Julie'

I volunteer as a station host in Saco once a week, and I regularly call 'Julie' to find out where the northbound trains are and pass the information on to those waiting.

She's a big help.
